We provide legal assistance in the following areas:
- Challenging the actions or inaction of military units or government authorities.
- Processing or recalculating pensions, other social payments, and benefits.
- Correcting errors in calculations for utility services.
- Resolving family issues such as alimony, divorce, and inheritance.
- Addressing other legal problems, including through legal proceedings.
Guarantees for Foreign Military Servicemembers in the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Guarantees for foreign military servicemembers serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine are stipulated in a contract entered into between the foreign national and the state, represented by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, to establish legal relations between the parties during military service.
According to the contract, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine undertakes to ensure the observance of the personal rights and freedoms of the foreign national, stateless person, or military servicemember’s family members, including the provision of benefits, guarantees, and compensations as established by the laws and other regulatory acts of Ukraine.
The following guarantees are provided for foreign military servicemembers:
1. Appointment to Position and Training
- Appointment to military positions for foreign military servicemembers is based on their education and military specialty, as well as the assignment of military ranks and career advancement, taking into account professional and moral qualities.
- Guaranteed training in military training units, training centers, and relevant preparation units, including qualification enhancement, in accordance with the requirements for military readiness for assignment to specific positions within the ranks of enlisted personnel, non-commissioned officers, and senior non-commissioned officers.
2. Medical Care
Foreign military servicemembers have the right to healthcare and medical assistance in healthcare facilities under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
3. Service Duration and Rest
Guaranteed service duration and the ability to move freely within the territory of Ukraine on weekends, holidays, and non-working days, with the provision of rest for fulfilling service duties on weekends, holidays, and non-working days, except during military exercises, ship deployments, combat shooting, duty shifts, and overnight duty.
4. Leaves
- Annual basic leaves with the preservation of financial and material support and the provision of financial assistance for recuperation, equivalent to one month of financial support.
- Additional leaves with the preservation of financial and material support for duties involving increased emotional and intellectual stress or service in special natural, geographic, geological, climatic, and ecological conditions, as well as in conditions of increased risk to life and health.
- Leave for family reasons without preserving financial support.
- Leave for illness, with financial and material support preserved, based on the conclusion of a military medical commission.
5. Material and Financial Support:
Foreign military personnel have the right to:
- Adequate material support during their military service.
- Rations according to established norms for enlisted personnel, non-commissioned officers, and senior non-commissioned officers during military exercises, ship deployments, combat shooting, duty shifts, and overnight duty.
- A relocation allowance for them and their family members when moving to a new place of military service, subject to registration.
- Financial support with consideration of seniority bonuses, qualifications, sports and honorary titles, as well as other allowances, supplements, rewards, and bonuses.
6. Receipt of Social Benefits
Foreign military servicemembers are guaranteed other social benefits for themselves and their family members as determined by laws and other regulatory acts.
